Retirement planning boot camp to be held June 6 in Georgetown

Retirement planning boot camp is being offered to the public from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, in the Carter Partnership Center Room 535B at the Owens Campus of Delaware Tech. The topics to be covered are retirement preparation, retirement management, Social Security, and investing in retirement.The course is a detailed retirement planning seminar designed to educate those who are nearing retirement or who have recently retired.

Organizers of Delaware Technical Community College's Encore Program are delighted to be able to provide, free of charge, experienced and well-qualified instructor Eric Johnston, CTP, to the public. Having written, spoken and taught on the subject many times, he will break down a complex subject to simple, understandable layman's terms. This class focuses on steps the lay person can take to increase the probabilities of a successful retirement. The goal is to help make people aware of the challenges in retirement and teach them suitable ways to overcome them. Johnston is a financial advisor offering securities and advisory services through Cetera Advisors LLC, member FINRA, SIPC.
