Revelation Craft Brewing hosts Firkin Fest

April 19, 2018

Revelation Craft Brewing in Rehoboth held its inaugural Firkin Fest April 15.

Named for a firkin, a 9-gallon cask used to serve beer, the event featured 12 Delaware breweries, such as Mispillion River Brewing, Crooked Hammock Brewery, Big Oyster Brewery and Dewey Beer Company, among others. The festival raised money for Ship Hope, which helps people in impoverished nations by converting shipping containers into sustainable homes.

Firkin Fest was founded by Patrick Staggs, brewmaster and co-owner of Revelation. Amanda Robinson, Revelation’s marketing and sales manager, said 200 people attended the event and that Revelation plans to make Firkin Fest an April tradition going forward.

Attendees received a tasting glass, unlimited samples of cask ales, music and wood fired pizzas from the Da Nizza Wood Fired Pizza truck.
