Robert A. (Bob) Worrell Sr., retired engineer

August 4, 2017

Robert A. (Bob) Worrell Sr.,  84, of Camp Hill, Pa., formerly of Lewes, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017. Bob was born Oct. 20, 1933, in Chester, Pa., the son of the late Charles and Ann Worrell.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Martha. Bob was a graduate of St. James High School in Chester. Bob started his career as an apprentice machinist at Sun Ship's Wetherill plant, advancing to the position of foreman. After completing his degree in mechanical engineering at the evening division of Pennsylvania Military College, now Widener, he began his career as a mechanical engineer at Scott Paper Company's headquarters in the research and development division where he worked until his retirement.

Bob enjoyed fishing and boating from the time he was a child through his retirement years. He truly cherished his retirement to his house in Lewes with his loving wife Martha, spending 59 years of marriage together. Bob leaves to cherish his memory his two children Robert (Cheryl) and Debbi (Jeff) Wasileski of Camp Hill. "Pop Pop" loved his grandchildren: Robby, Joshua, Nicholas and Maya, and will be remembered as a grandfather who always had a "nifty" magic trick to show his grandchildren every time he visited them.

The family would like to thank the team of caregivers from Harrisburg Hospital for the kind and gentle care provided during Bob's final hours.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a contribution in Bob's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Ste. 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or online at www.alz.org.
