Ruth Ann White, Harrington UMC member

Ruth Ann White, 92, passed away peacefully at Harrison Senior Living Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

She was born in Harrington to the late Franklin and Almena Rifenburg. Mrs. White worked in the Hosiery Mill and Bean Factory in Georgetown, Townsend's Poultry, the button factory in Milton, and also ran a day care out of her home. She was a member and attended Harrington UMC and enjoyed crocheting and needlework.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold White; siblings, Elizabeth Legates, John Rifenburg, Theodore Rifenburg, Harrison Rifenburg, Carolyn Rifenburg, Helen Argo and Ella Mae Holladay.

Ruth is survived by her children, Wayne A. (Pauline) White of Georgetown, and Richard M. (Jackie) White of Milton; grandchildren, Wayne M. White, Patricia Bodenweiser, Harley White, Richard M. White Jr. and Terry L. Genshaw; great-grandchildren, Wayne M. White Jr., Tyler White, Desiree White, Dylan White, Sarah Romano, Stephanie Guerrieri, Stacy White, Shannon White and Richard M. White III, Lauren Genshaw and Jason Genshaw; several great-great-grandchildren; and adopted grandchildren, Mike and Eddie Chorman.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, at 1 p.m., Monday, April 23. A time of visitation will begin at noon. Interment was at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
