Salt Fitness event brings awareness to Delaware human trafficking

Cycle classes raise money for Zoe Ministries
March 14, 2018

Salt Fitness Delaware, a new boutique fitness studio in West Rehoboth, joined the National End It Movement Day Feb. 22 to raise awareness of human trafficking. Studio guests donated a fee to attend the indoor cycle classes. A total of $500 was raised and donated to Zoe Ministries, a Delaware faith-based nonprofit bringing awareness of the human trafficking issue and providing after care to the victims.

All the riders that day said they had no idea this was an issue in Sussex County. Tony Forrest from Rehoboth said he was shocked to learn this is a serious issue in the tiny state of Delaware. Guest speaker Yolanda Schlabach from Zoe Ministries said, “The goal of Zoe Ministries Delaware is to serve domestic minor sex trafficking survivors by providing long-term, comprehensive treatment using the infrastructure that is currently in place in our state. We will provide access to drug/alcohol detox, complex trauma therapies and medical provision through our facility in order to serve our clientele.”

Salt Fitness is class-based studio at 37021 Rehoboth Ave. Extended, Unit D, Rehoboth Beach. For more information, go to www.saltfitnessde.com.
