Samuel E. Moore Jr., painting contractor

 Samuel E. Moore Jr., 78, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

He was born in Milton, son of the late Samuel E. Sr. and Matilda (Megee) Moore.

Samuel worked as a painting contractor for many years. He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mildred (Leppo) Moore; three children, Brenda Lee Watkins of Harrington, Samuel Dean Moore and his wife Suzanne, and Charles Harry Moore and companion Debbie Morgan, all on Lincoln; five grandchildren, Danielle Brinkley and husband Tony, Leeann Watkins and fiancé Robert Custins, Amanda Moore, Katherine Moore, and Allen Shuhart and wife Breanna; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Shuhart, Malaki Brinkley, and Samara Brinkley; a brother, Wayne Moore of Milford; and two sisters, Pat Moore of Georgetown, and Mary Carey of Alaska.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 25, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, with visitation after noon. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
