Schell Brothers employees have embarked on a 12 Days of Giving campaign to support various Sussex County people and organizations during the holiday season.

They are collecting gift cards, coats, hats, gloves, canned food and blessing bags with supplies for the homeless at their main office at 20184 Phillips St., Rehoboth Beach, and the Project Kudos bus in front of Schellville.

“We love being a part of this incredible community, and this is a way that our team can not only give but also participate in the gift of giving this holiday season,” said Alyssa Titus, Schell Brothers director of marketing.

The following is what they are asking the community to donate:

• Blessing bags, which are zip-top bags full of essential items for the homeless such as socks, snacks, hand warmers, gloves, hats and gift cards. They will be donated to Cape Henlopen School District to help the student homeless population

• New toys to support the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive in Sussex County

• New coats, hats and gloves to be donated to Clothing Our Kids, volunteers who work with the schools to provide coats to kids who don’t have them

• Gift cards for first responders to be delivered to fire and police in Lewes, Bethany, Rehoboth and Milton.

They are also hosting the following:

• Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 23, at Schellville with 100% of proceeds donated to Shepherd's Office in Georgetown to help the homeless population

• A blood drive on Friday, Dec. 29, at Schell's Martin Street gym to help the blood bank fill a need for blood donations.
