Second Street Players’ ‘Space Princess Wars’ to open Oct. 6
Second Street Players will present its final children’s theater production for the 2023 season, “Space Princess Wars,” from Friday to Sunday, Oct. 6 to 8, at the Riverfront Theater, 2 S. Walnut St., Milford.
Written by Don Zolidis, “Space Princess Wars” combines elements from the timeless classic movies “The Princess Bride” and “Star Wars.” Filled with comedy and adventure for children and fond memories from the movies for parents, “Space Princess Wars” will be entertaining for the entire family. Director Michael Forrest and Co-Director Deana Forrest are delighted to bring the show to the Second Street Players stage.
When Archer finds herself a captive audience for her dad’s latest masterpiece, it seems familiar for a fantasy adventure screenplay at first. Wars, in the stars. Brides of the princess variety. This story has such an incredibly absurd array of heroes, villains, robots and romances, it's total chaos. But once Archer gets pulled into the mash-up tale of a princess with a secret agenda and some space wizards destined for greatness, she starts to wonder: Could this be so much chaos it's actually ... genius?
Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m., and Sunday shows begin at 2 p.m. Friday night’s performance is pay-what-you-can at the door, donations only. Saturday and Sunday ticket prices are $5 per child and $10 per adult.
