Sharing my Sister's Closet raises $1,000 for mental health and wellness support

December 13, 2023

Mental Health Alternatives Inc. announced the exceptional success of its recent community-driven event, Sharing My Sister's Closet, which raised over $1,000 in donations.

The funds will significantly contribute to providing alternative and holistic sessions for mental health and wellness support to preteens and teens in need.

A local nonprofit, Mental Health Alternatives Inc. is dedicated to serving the preteen/teenage population by providing tools to navigate stress, anxiety and overwhelm. Its programs and fundraising efforts focus on offering private sessions with professional practitioners in the holistic healing space. These sessions equip young individuals with valuable tools for mental health and wellness.

Event organizers extend their deepest gratitude to the community for its unwavering support in making this initiative a resounding success. A special acknowledgment goes to founders Diane Winiarczyk, Amy Casas and Elizabeth Sanchez, whose vision and leadership have set the foundation for positive change.

They are also grateful for the generous contributions from Dani Gaudiosi of Makeup and Love, Deniene Dailey of Sunrise Realty, and Meghan Fruchtman of M2 Rehoboth, whose support played a crucial role in achieving the fundraising goals.

Those who are passionate about mental health and wellness or know of a holistic practitioner interested in contributing to MHA’s program for teens may email mentalhealthalternatives@gmail.com to explore how to get involved and make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals in the community.

“As we celebrate this achievement, we look forward to the positive impact that these funds will have on the lives of those in our community facing mental health challenges,” said Sanchez.
