Shield's principal celebrates National Principals' Month in Delaware

The Delaware Association of School Administrators announced that Gov. Jack Markell has declared October 2016 National Principals' Month. The governor met with Dr. Joseph Jones, Delaware Association of School Administrators president; Dr. Clifford Hayes, Delaware Association of School Principals president; Jennifer Nauman, Delaware's National Distinguished Principal of the Year; Dr. Veronica Perrine, Delaware's Assistant Principal of the Year, and Dr. Tammy J. Croce, executive director, Delaware Association of School Administrators to discuss the work of principals and assistant principals and to recognize the influence school leaders have on school and student success. In part the declaration reads, "leadership in a school is a complex and multifaceted responsibility..., National Principals' Month commends the significant contributions all Delaware school principals make in the education of our youth."
