St. Thomas More international students present at Delaware Tech

November 28, 2016

International students from St. Thomas More Academy visited Delaware Technical Community College Terry Campus Nov. 3. Students were invited to speak to a multicultural college class about their personal experiences in the United States, and discuss their native countries of China and South Korea.

The students prepared presentations that incorporated diverse cultural details about many subjects including educational differences, food preferences, ceremonial proceedings, behavioral interactions and social expectations. After the presentations, the high school students and college students discussed various topics including language learning difficulties, cultural adaptation and travel recommendations.

St. Thomas More has an expanding international program that allows high school-age students from various countries to attend and study in the U.S. for the duration of the student's high school career. The Cambridge Institute of International Education and American Home Life International are the school's partners which collaborate with the school for international student placements.
