Surprising trade

August 17, 2017

The Eagles decided to trade their number one receiver, Jordan Matthews, to the Buffalo Bills for their number one corner back, Ronald Darby. To me this seems like a desperation move by the Eagles, especially this close to the start of the season.

This is a very ominous sign for the defense. I hope that the Eagles receivers really step up, especially Nelson Agholor and Torrey Smith. Ironically, the Eagles play the Bills in preseason football this week. So everyone will get to see if this trade was a good idea.

Justin Thomas won the PGA Championship by two shots on Sunday.

In the first round, Thomas actually struggled with a 2 over par score of 73. Thankfully for him, the course was playing so difficult, that he was able to recover by shooting in the 60s the other three rounds. Typically, the winning score at most PGA Championships is between 12 and 16 under par. Thomas won the tournament with a score of 8 under par.

Justin Thomas is definitely a product of the Tiger Woods era of golf. He is a very athletic guy whom you would think would play basketball or soccer. Even though he can hit the ball a mile, he only weighs 150 pounds. He is the same age as Jordan Spieth so he is quite young to win Majors. Thomas has a lot of potential if he doesn't get hurt. The power he uses to hit almost every shot could become problematic. We've seen what that's done to Tiger and others.

I wanted to give a shout of congratulations to the Milton Little League All-Star team for almost making it to the Little League World Series. After winning the Delaware State Championship, they advanced to the Eastern Regional in Connecticut and won another game there before being eliminated. It's always great to see a local team do so well.
