Susann Gay an asset to Rehoboth

July 13, 2017

We are writing to endorse Susan Gay for Rehoboth Beach City Commissioner. Having had the good fortune to work with her over the past year on city-related issues, we can speak without reservation to her qualifications and commitment.

As someone who has a long association with Rehoboth, Susan has a deep understanding of local issues and the challenges facing our city. Most importantly, she is a doer - not one who sits on the sidelines.

As an engaged citizen, Susan actively serves on the boards of numerous local organizations, including Rehoboth Neighbors United, the Rehoboth Homeowner's Association, the Country Club Estates Homeowners Association, The Save Our Lakes Alliance and the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society. She also is currently co-chairing the City's Advisory Committee on Trees.

Susan's campaign theme is "Let's Move the City Forward." In making this claim, she acknowledges the importance of taking steps to protect the unique qualities that make Rehoboth "Rehoboth." Her commitment to preserve Rehoboth's distinct character and charm will promote balanced growth, help keep our small businesses successful, and continue to ensure the existence of a very livable and vibrant residential community.

Additionally, Susan's 30-year leadership career in the corporate sector managing multi-million dollar programs provides her with the background essential for strong planning and fiscal management.

Susan brings a unique depth of understanding to issues that affect our city. She works tirelessly in pursuit of objectives, yet operates with a collegial, consensus-driven style.

These attributes will make her an asset to our city's governing body and a well-informed, accessible representative of citizen interests.

She deserves your vote August 12.
