Tara Becker joins Children’s Beach House leadership

March 14, 2024

Children’s Beach House recently announced it has hired Tara Becker of Rehoboth Beach to serve as vice president of advancement.

The role was previously held by Patrice Tosi, who will continue as the organization’s CFO.

“Our organization is at an exciting inflection point as we look to expand our impact across the state,” said Richard Garrett, CBH executive director. “The time is right to invest in our staff as we look to make more resources available to more families, from Seaford to Lewes to New Castle. We are thrilled for Tara to lead our growing development team as we position Children’s Beach House to be the preeminent social services provider in Delaware.”

Becker brings more than 20 years of marketing, development, education and policy experience to Children’s Beach House. Most recently at Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, Md., she served as director of admissions and marketing. Before that, Becker worked as a development officer at Beebe Medical Foundation, focusing on major gifts and campaigns. She also brings experience from the government relations side, having worked in the Delaware offices of the governor, secretary of state and state treasurer.

What drew Becker to Children’s Beach House was the opportunity to get back to her roots: children, education and community support. “For 88 years, Children’s Beach House has empowered children, families, and communities with support and resources to reach their full potential. I am excited to contribute to the ongoing success in the years to come,” said Becker.

Based in Lewes, Children’s Beach House works statewide to build a world where all children thrive. For more information, go to cbhinc.org.
