TCC and Verizon stores donate backpacks for school

Supplies help children get ready for fall
August 2, 2017

It’s almost back to school time, and nearly 1,000 TCC and Wireless Zone stores donated 172,00 backpacks filled with school supplies to prepare school children from across the nation for the fall term in the School Rocks Backpack Giveaway. The local Verizon Wireless store at 37156 Rehoboth Ave. on Coastal Highway welcomed children to the store July 23 where they received a free backpack. The store’s 220 backpacks, filled with school supplies like pencils paper and other goodies, were given on a first-come, first-serve basis. The children were also allowed to sign their name on the TCC and Wireless Zone store wall.

Since 2013, Round Room LLC, the nation’s largest Verizon Authorized Wireless Retailer, has allowed TCC and the Wireless Zone stores to donate more than 505,000 backpacks filled with supplies through the School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.
