Vaughan will work diligently for constituents

October 27, 2016

How do you make paradise better? Elect Barbara Vaughan to represent District 20! Barbara has an incredible list of accomplishments proving that she knows how to work with others to make progress happen. Let me list some of her accomplishments.

She established an after-school program for children in the Burton subdivision; she was elected to Lewes City Council; she helped establish the Lewes Historic Preservation Commission; and she helped inspire the revitalization of Second Street in Lewes and Canalfront Park. Barbara was appointed to the Lewes Planning Commission, is a commissioner of the Lewes Public Library, is a founder of the Greater Lewes Community Village, and is active on the Lewes Scenic and Historic Byways Committee and the Lewes Historical Society.

Barbara is on the steering committee of the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice and is secretary of the 20th Representative District Democratic Committee, and, Barbara received the 2015 Citizen of the Year Award from the Greater Lewes Foundation!

As you can conclude, Barbara is a gem who knows how to be creative and accomish goals. Next, moving on to projects in the 20th District, Barbara will focus on improving the transportation by reducing traffic congestion, improving access to jobs, and improving safety of pedestrians.

Barbara wants to develop and expand new business areas and job training services, and will emphasize drug rehabilitation instead of incarceration and to provide support for newly released citizens to reduce recidivism. Barbara also wants to help senior citizens by creating jobs for them and reducing healthcare costs for all. In addition, Barbara will be an advocate for regional planning and land use to avoid overcrowding, traffic congestion and the destruction of the environment.

With Barbara Vaughan’s incredible list of accomplishments, you know she will work just as diligently for the 20th District and take “paradise” to the whole district. Be sure you vote for Barbara Vaughan.
