Violet Cafarelli, tea connoisseur
Violet Cafarelli, 91, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. She was born Nov. 9, 1932, in New York City, to William and Mary Richmond Smith. She was married for 60 years to her childhood sweetheart, George Cafarelli II, who preceded her in death in 2010.
Violet was a tea connoisseur who enjoyed gardening, trips to the beach, reading, watching classic movies, and researching her Scottish heritage. Throughout her life, Violet loved spending time with her family and especially relished time spent with her great-grandson, Ethan, in her later years.
Violet was preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey Cafarelli. She is survived by her children, Teresa (Anthony) Arico and George Anthony Cafarelli III; grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Arico, and Lauren (Sajjad) Haque; great-stepgrandson, Isaiah Haque and great-grandson, Ethan Haque.
A service for Violet will held in New York at a later date.
