Dozens of volunteer artists turned out July 7 to take part in PaintFest America at Beacon Middle School, part of a 50-state mural project. Coordinated by the Foundation for Hospital Art, the six murals completed will be displayed at Tunnell Cancer Center and other Beebe Healthcare facilities.
A special Delaware tile – complete with a Blue Hen – was painted by local cancer survivors and will be added to a 50-state mural to be unveiled in New York City, said project leader Anna Kathryn Simmons.
