Winter Wonder dazzles at Children’s Beach House

December 13, 2023

Children’s Beach House hosted its annual holiday season fundraiser, Winter Wonder, Dec. 1 in Lewes. The event featured a masquerade theme that many of the partygoers embraced with enthusiasm and style. Glitter, lace, sequins and feathers featured prominently in celebrators’ choice of facial accessories and other attire. The glitz didn’t end there, though. A troupe of aerialists and performance artists brought their own forms of glittering spectacle, juggling illuminated bowling pins, spinning flaming hoops and serving champagne to guests while hanging above their heads. The event also featured dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions, and an art show.

Winter Wonder, which drew more than 200 people, raised money for Children’s Beach House programs, including its Margaret H. Rollins Child Development Center and its Youth Development Program, which provides year-round support to children who have speech and language delays, and who come from under-resourced homes.
