Zoar UMC celebrates Advent with birthday party for Jesus

As part of its Advent Celebration, Zoar United Methodist Church has a birthday party for Jesus.  During this event, members of the congregation who give of themselves to the church and community are the honored guests.  They light the birthday cake and receive a gift to commemorate the occasion.  This year the honored guests were Don and Janie Taylor of Milton, who have been attending Zoar for about 10 years.  Don is a certified lay speaker, and Janie is the secretary of the women's group.  Both are involved in the missions and life of the church, and are active in the local community helping those who are less fortunate.  Congratulations to the Taylors!  Zoar is six miles north of Millsboro on Gravel Hill Road.
