GARDEN TO TABLE

An energetic knock called me to the front door this afternoon. What a delight to see BIG BROTHER of the BOP BOYS with an armload of freshly harvested turnips, gorgeous greens and the most crisp spring asparagus ever. We had quite the feast for dinner with steamed turnips, turnip greens sautéed in red wine, steamed asparagus with a spritz of Bragg's Aminos, creamed corn, roasted roots, and slices of whole grain baguette.

BROTHERS ORGANIC PRODUCE (BOP) were my favorite source of fresh veggies until they moved to a real farm on GillsNeck Rd. just outside Lewes last fall. Thanks to BOP more lucky neighbors will enjoy the results of their garden magic this season.
