NAKED FOOD

I subscribe to a very classy food magazine called NAKED FOOD (New Authentic Kind & Enlightened Diet).  The magazine’s emphasis is on the whole food plant-based nutrition approach to preventing and reversing disease.  Sound boring?  Well, it’s anything but… every edition is a seasonal treat for all the senses!

First of all—it’s a visual treat. The photographs of beautiful people and beautiful food are stunning. Mouth-watering food leaps off full page spreads—recipes included.

Then there’s real “food for thought” with excellent articles by guest authors and esteemed members of the Advisory Board which includes a number of my “gurus” such as Campbell, Esselstyn, Robbins, McDougall, Greger, Katz, Klaper and Clement, almost all of whom I have met in person.  The winter edition includes articles on Meat & Cancer, Weight loss & Health, Thyroid & Panic Attacks, Athletics: Low Carb vs. High Carb, to name only a few topics which inevitably reflect on the relationship of food choice to personal and global health.

Finally, from the Naked Kitchen, readers of the current edition can indulge in Scalloped Potatoes with Saffron Cream, Oat Blueberry Parfait and Smoky Black Bean Bisque (see photo and recipe below). Recipes by guest and staff chefs are always low-fat, whole food, plant-based, vegan, organic and sustainable.

Substance, beauty, optimum health and sustainability are at the heart of every issue, minus the influences of big money, for this magazine is Ad free! What a treat.  You will thrive and so will this life-changing magazine when you subscribe at www.NakedFoodMagazine.com.
