Clean Water Rally in Dover set for June 7

June 2, 2016

The second annual Clean Water Rally will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, June 7, on the Legislative Green in Dover.

The rally aims to raise awareness among lawmakers about the importance of cleaning up Delaware's waters and will include exhibits, networking, information about Delaware's waterways and the  Clean Water: Delaware's Clear Choice campaign. Registration to the event includes a free T-shirt and food from local food trucks.

After the rally, participants will have an opportunity to meet with Gov. Jack Markell and legislators to discuss the need for funding to support clean water projects.

Attendees from around the Inland Bays are invited to join the Clean Water Car Rally to the Rally, a carpool opportunity to take people from the Cape Region to Dover. The Car Rally will meet at the Lowes parking lot in Lewes at 9 a.m. Free coffee will be provided. To participate in the carpool, email communications@inlandbays.org.
