Rip Tide students compete in Philadelphia

Nine adults and seven kids from Rip Tide Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competed Jan. 21-22 in the Maxercise Affiliate Tournament in Philadelphia.

In total, they competed in 17 divisions and medaled every time.

Eight-year-old Elizabeth Bodio was the only student who competed in two different division, and won double gold and a Sword of Distinction for her exemplary performance.

The highlights for the adults were the promotions earned by Leondro Vioto to purple belt, and Dalton Tyndall and Brandon “Brandito” Boyd to blue belt.
