Run for the Paws 5K Coming to Dewey
Join hundreds of animal lovers as they take to the streets on August 18th for the Delaware SPCA’s 4th Annual 5K Run in sunny Dewey Beach. Stay after the race for fun, refreshments and an award ceremony hosted by The Starboard Restaurant.
All proceeds from this event will go directly to the care of abused, neglected and homeless animals, and efforts to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.
REGISTRATION:
Pre-Registration Fee- $20 (must be received by 8/11.)
Day of Event Registration Fee- $25
Tech Race T-shirts to first 250 registrants. Timing and finish line by Seashore Strider Event Production.
Registration 7:00 – 7:50 a.m. Race starts 8:00 a.m. Starting line is on Dagsworthy Street. Parking available at North Beach parking lot right off Dagsworthy Street; free until 11:00 am.
AWARDS:
Awards are presented to the male/female Overall and Master Champions, and top 3 finishers from 9 & U to 70 & O
Results will be available on the Seashore Striders website, www.seashorestriders.com.
POST-EVENT PARTY:
Join us for refreshments and an award ceremony following the run hosted by the Starboard Restaurant, 2009 Highway One, Dewey Beach.
FUNDRAISING:
Each dollar raised helps a homeless or abused animal. The Delaware SPCA needs your help to help them! Consider raising money by obtaining sponsors. It’s easy through First Giving. Set up your own personalized fundraising page and email it to family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. They will be able to make a secure donation directly to the Delaware SPCA in your name.
