Made Ya Look Salon and Spa is currently taking appointments for a national charity haircutting event coming to the Rehoboth Beach salon on August 9th.  For the second straight year, Kansas stylist, Patrick Lomantini is setting out on a 50 State Tour, to perform 50 haircuts in 50 states in 50 days.  This “hair-raising” event is a fundraiser for the Delaware SPCA’s Georgetown shelter.

A Master stylist and 2-time world record holder, Patrick Lomantini, of Lomantini the Salon in Wichita, Kansas is an animal lover and activist.  He created the event as a means to raise awareness about the plight of homeless and abused animals while raising money for local animal shelters.

Each day, Patrick travels to a new state where he partners with an animal welfare organization and a hair salon that will provide him space and book appointments.  Patrick will arrive for the Delaware leg of the tour on August 9 and will once again team up with Made Ya Look Salon and the Delaware SPCA.

“Last year’s event was so much fun, we are happy to participate again in 2012 and support the Delaware SPCA. Patrick is a super guy and very talented stylist”, said Made Ya Look salon owner Donna Serafini.

“It is a unique way to bring awareness to the serious problem of animal homelessness”, said Chris Motoyoshi, Delaware SPCA development director.  “We are grateful to Patrick and Made Ya Look Salon for making this possible.”

Anyone wishing to participate in the hair-cut-a-thon can book an appointment by calling Made Ya Look Salon at 302-226-1400.   The cuts a minimum donation of $20.

Animals available for adoption will also be on hand throughout the day to greet clients.   For more information visit delspca.org.
