Cinderella Brings Summer Series to a Close

For over thirty years families have enjoyed the dynamic, imaginative productions of the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre. The original, two-actor scripts developed by founders Elise and Steve Seyfried have brought to the stage the stories of Robin Hood, Pinocchio, Finn McCool, Androcles and the Lion, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland and many, many more. One of the most popular productions through the years has been The 2012 version of the family favorite brings the summer series to a close on Wednesday, August 29. Show time is 7:00 PM at the Baycenter in Dewey Beach.

The multi-talented duo of Carl Smith and Cassidy Dermott bring all the familiar (and a few unfamiliar) characters to life in this hilarious version of the timeless classic. The well-known story of royalty, romance and the search for dependable household help is spiced up with the addition of Miles, the Town Crier, a jazz trumpeter trying to make it big in the Palace Band. Adding to the fun is the jealous step-sister, Delmarva, who does everything she can to keep Cinderella from attending Prince Charming’s Ball. Of course, true love wins out over all and almost everyone (except Delmarva) lives happily ever after,

The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre is a professional company specializing in two-actor productions of classic stories.
