Stepping Out for the Animals this Saturday!

- Private group -
October 5, 2012

This weekend is the Delaware SPCA's 2nd annual Bark on the Boards Dog Walk on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.  Join hundreds of other animal lovers and their canine companions for a dog-gone good time!

The walk coincides with the first day of the "off-season" when dogs are welcome on the boards and beach.  So break out the leash and your flip flops and take to the boards to help animals in need. No dog? No problem! You don't need to bring a dog to participate. Enjoy a leisurely stroll on the boardwalk, then stay for fun activities for the whole family. We'll have food, children's activities, pet games and contests, and more.

Join us for an afterparty at Rehoboth Beach Ale House. Free munchies, food and drink specials for walk participants wearing their wristband.

Register at the event starting at 10 am at Lake Gerar Park across from the Henlopen Hotel.  The walk kicks off at 11.  Registration is $25 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-16, and free for children 5 and under.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the care of abused, neglected and homeless animals, and efforts to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.
