Deaver is voice of reason for Sussex Council

October 26, 2012

I recently had the opportunity to meet Joan Deaver, current Sussex County councilperson who is running for re-election. Joan is a sincere, intelligent and reasonable person who has Sussex County’s best interest at heart. She advocates for transparency in government dealings and as taxpayers I believe we have a right to know how decisions are made.

One of Joan’s highest priorities is for Sussex County to hire a county planner, a position funded in the budget. Sussex County is the only county in Delaware who does not have a professional planner. This position is critical  to ensure that land development is well thought out, protective of our Sussex County way of life, and not just in the best interests of the developers. Joan Deaver deserves our support to be re-elected.
