DSU cancels campus operations through Oct. 30

Delaware State University has extended the cancellation of normal campus operations (classes, offices, etc.) to Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29-30, due to the heavy rain and strong winds predicted in connection with the approaching Hurricane Sandy.

Nonessential personnel are not to report for work on either date.

Essential personnel are to report for duty Monday and Tuesday at their regular work arrival time.

The University will continue to provide services (residential hall, dining, etc.) to students who remain on campus throughout the storm event. DSU will deliver meals right to the residential halls on campus to ensure that the students are fed during the projected heaviest period of the storm.

All employees and students should continue to monitor the DSU website, University email and DSU Emergency Alert for updates concerning the status of University operatampions on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and beyond. Updates can also be obtained by calling the DSU Emergency Weather hotline at 302-857-7669.
