SANDY: A drive around Lewes on Monday morning

North, northwest wind was blowing plenty of waves down Delaware Bay - as well as some dune stairs and sunfish sailboats - and onto the public beach at Lewes. BY DENNIS FORNEY

A drive around Lewes Monday morning showed plenty of high water but we've received a stroke of good luck, at least at this point in time. The wind shifted around to the north northwest and that's holding the tide down as opposed to east winds that can pile lots more water on top of us. Keep your fingers crossed.  Here are a bunch of photos taken this morning between 9 and 10:15.
