DEC working to restore power to members

October 30, 2012

Delaware Electric Cooperative crews are working to restore power to 1,910 members. The outages are a result of the damaging winds associated with Hurricane Sandy, which have toppled trees onto power lines and utility poles.

Co-op crews have been working in dangerous conditions all day and will continue to work 16 hour shifts to restore power throughout the duration of the storm. We would like to thank our members for their patience and encouraging comments during the storm.

Utility contractors will be helping DEC with its restoration efforts. Members should call 855-332-9090 to report outages or downed wires. Live outage information can be found at www.delaware.coop.

To report an outage, call 855-332-9090. Live outage information can also be found at the website. The outage map is also available on mobile devices and through local TV and radio stations. Outage information will also be frequently updated on DEC’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
