Lewes in Bloom thanks Greater Lewes Foundation

November 8, 2012

Recently the Greater Lewes Foundation announced grants awarded for 2012.  Lewes in Bloom is honored to be included as one of this fall’s recipients.

The Children’s Learning Garden was endorsed by Lewes City Council in September.  The location in Stango Park was recently fenced and fundraising is on-going to achieve completion in 2013.

The garden and its programs will benefit the Lewes area by piquing children’s curiosity about nature and gardening.  A site for families, children of all ages and others to learn how vegetables, fruits and flowers grow, the garden will encourage healthier lifestyles in terms of nutrition and promote gardening as physical activity for a lifetime.

Thank you, Greater Lewes Foundation, for helping to build the Children’s Learning Garden for the families of Greater Lewes.
