Ava Rae Wilson to compete for Angel Miss Delmarva Nov. 18

Eight-year old Ava Rae Wilson of Milton, a third-grader at H.O. Brittingham Elementary School, will join other young contestants as she competes in the Angel Miss Delmarva Pageant scheduled for 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Salisbury, Md. Moose Lodge. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Miss Delmarva Pageant, which is  open to girls and young women in several age divisions.

Contestants will be judged 50 percent on their interview scores and 50 percent on their onstage evening gown presentations.

Ava was selected as a top 16 out of 219 contestants for the Photogenic Award, which is being voted on through Facebook by "liking" Miss Delmarva Pageant page, then "liking" a contestant's photo.

Ava's mother, Allison Funds, was selected as Miss Delmarva 2001 and Ms. Delmarva 2007.
