Milton Councilwoman Kristin Patterson and recently named Top Doc 2011 Delaware Dr. Jonathan Patterson of Ocean Medical Imaging will present an art show, Close Ups, in their innovative Milton office and gallery. A wine and cheese opening reception is set for 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, and the exhibit will be up through the end of December.
"We are delighted to continue to work with our talented artist community here in southern Delaware and love the new exhibit,” says Kristin Patterson. “The artwork is just lovely, and we are pleased to invite all our friends and neighbors to stop by Friday night for a glass of wine, conversation and perhaps a head start on holiday shopping.”
Close Ups features a myriad of images, micro and macro. Artist and doctor of botany Raymond Petersen paints exuberant cellular patterns in nature. Libby Zando, contractor and artist, presents a range of garden elements, fruit and floral - front and center. Tony Pratt and Pamela Bieler Aquilani, both of whom show in Kevin Fleming's Rehoboth Beach gallery, include impressive photographs of natural details, from shedding seeds to winged pollinators.
Watercolorist Anne Buck shows her photographic skill with starkly simple and striking images. Local photographer Keith Steck exhibits photos of architectural and natural elements with aptly composed close-ups.
All work is for sale with a percentage of funds going to benefit breast cancer awareness. The Ocean Medical Imaging Gallery Office is at 611 Federal St., Suite 4, Milton. For more information contact Ocean Medical Imaging at 302- 684-5151 or Libby Zando at 302-684-4601.
