Glass designer opens studio during open house

Glass designer and maker Deb Appleby opened her studio and workshop Nov. 17 to family, friends and the public during her annual open house. She and assistant Jenn Drake crafted several pieces of glassware, including ornaments and a spin bowl, explaining the process as they worked on each piece. Appleby's Studio on 24, located on Route 24 near Beacon Middle School, offers numerous glass work including glasses, plates, spin bowls, pitchers, sinks and murrine glass designs, as well as commission work.
