Antiques in Milton to host holiday open house Dec. 7-9

Store celebrates eighth anniversary with holiday specials
November 27, 2012

To celebrate its eighth anniversary, Antiques in Milton will host a holiday open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8, and from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9.  The store will offer refreshments, a door prize drawing and a special sale highlighting unique gifts for less than $25.

“This is our antiques store’s eighth year in business and the eighth time we’ve had a holiday open house to thank our customers,” said store co-owner Kathryn Greig. “Our holiday open house coincides with Holly Fest and is a great way to find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts for your friends and family.”

“People don’t always think about going to an antiques store for gifts, and this event is one way we hope to change that view,” said store co-owner Matt Greig. “We have a lot of vintage Christmas items dating from the 1920s to the 1960s, and other nonholiday-themed antiques. We sell paintings, books, furniture, jewelry, local advertising collectibles and all types of other things. Antiques are good holiday gifts because they are unique and often less expensive than what you would find elsewhere. Plus, you get to support a locally owned small business; we literally are a mom-and-son-owned shop.”

Kathryn Greig and her son Matt have owned Antiques in Milton at 109 Union St. since 2005. The 6,000-square-foot store sells furniture, memorabilia and collectibles. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m., Sundays. For more information, call Kathryn Greig at 302-684-4499 or go to www.facebook.com/antiquesinmilton.
