Keenote Chorale spreads holiday cheer throughout southern Delaware

Singers will perform Dec. 7 at Milford Stroll

The Keenote Chorale is having a busy early December. Beginning with the performance of the entire Keenote chorale at the Beebe Medical Center tree lighting Nov. 29, singers are performing as in both Sussex and Kent counties this month.

The Keetoners and High Kees of the Keenote Chorale from Keenote Music Studio in Lincoln performed Dec. 1 at Woodburn Mansion in Dover. Gov. Jack Markell and First Lady Carla Markell invited the chorale and Miss Debbie Kee, the director and owner, to perform for the Holiday Open House. The audience enjoyed a variety of songs and special message by the governor about the mansion. Later in the day, the singers marched in the Lewes Christmas Parade with the major and minors of the chorale.

All of the Keenote Chorale singers will sing at the Milford Stroll Friday, Dec. 7, on the Riverfront Theater lawn. They will present their Holiday Hootennanny at the Lewes Church of Christ at the Point at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8; the event is open to the public and free. It is the 14th annual performance of the Keenote Kids.

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, all the chorale will be singing for the Harbor Healthcare residents and giving them homemade cookies.

The Keetoners and High Kees will bell ring  Thursday, Dec. 14, at the new Redners in Milford and finally, they will be caroling in Lincoln Friday, Dec.21. The chorale loves to share the joy and spirit of the Christmas season with family, friends and the community.
