Cape's boys and girls swim to victories over Caesar Rodney
The Cape boys' swim team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 100-66 victory at Caesar Rodney.
Freshman Jack Weeks won the 100-meter butterfly in 56.1 seconds and 100 m backstroke in 57.6.
Charlie Burton won the 200 individual medley in 2:22.52. Nick DiGuglielmo won the 50 freestyle 23.7.
Cape won the 200 freestyle relay with Nick DiGuglielmo, Andrew Hynes, Charlie Burton and Luke DiGuglielmo in 1:41.4.
Aaron Green of CR won the 100 freestyle in 50.2 and 100 breaststroke in 1:07.7.
The Riders' Vincent Richardson won the 200 freestyle in 2:09.4. Alex Stauff won the 500-meter swim in 5:30.3.
The Riders won the 200 medley relay with a team of Talon Gerber, Green, Stauff and Theodore Kruppa with a time of 1:50.04 and the 400 freestyle relay with a team of Gerber, Richardson, Stauff and Green in 3:41.37.
The Cape girls beat the Riders 102-48. Individual winners for Cape were Sarah Koon in the 50 freestyle in 28.2, Hannah Schrock in the 100 butterfly in 1:14.6, Romy Stancofski in the 100 freestyle in 1:03.6, Grace Brokaw in the 200 individual medley in 2:37.5, Colleen Bailey in the 500 freestyle in 6:20.8 and 100 breaststroke in 1:21.07, and Kaitlin Philcox in the 100 backstroke in 1:12.4.
Cape won the 200 medley relay with a team of Philcox, Bailey, Brokaw and Koon in 2:06.65; the 200 free relay of Koon, Stancofski, Brokaw and Schrock in 1:51.80; and 400 free relay of Stancofski, Bailey, Schrock and Philcox in 4:25.11.
Lauren Biddle of CR won the 200 freestyle in 2:28.71.
