Rehoboth VFW Post 7447 Ladies Auxiliary honors Connie Smith for volunteerism

Connie Smith of Rehoboth Beach, chaplain of Rehoboth VFW Post 7447 Ladies Auxiliary, was presented an Outstanding Volunteer Award at the Dec. 6 meeting by Post Quartermaster Tom Zalewski. Smith has visited veterans in nursing homes, hospitals and even their homes, often with gift bags, on a regular basis for many years. She encourages others to join her to brighten the lives of those who gave so much for this country. Smith is one of the unsung heroines of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
