Rehoboth Rotary to hold Championship Sunday Jan. 20

Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary Club is holding its 10th annual Championship Sunday Jan. 20 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. The club, chartered Dec. 17, 2002, holds its primary fundraiser each year for hundreds of cheering fans watching the NFC and AFC championship games. It is an event that is embraced by the community and designed for the whole family. More than 400 attended last year.

The club offers typical football tailgate fare, along with adult beverages. There is something for the kids as well as Mom and Dad. There are always plenty of fun and valuable items available at the silent auction.

The Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary Club supports many local charities including Casa San Francisco and the YMCA in Rehoboth Beach. Club members supply holiday meals to hundreds of people in eastern Sussex County, support Rehoboth Elementary School through the annual purchase of dictionaries for all third-grade students, donate winter coats to children in Rehoboth Beach, help foster children of Sussex County through the purchase of suitcases for displaced children, volunteer with the Salvation Army through the annual bell ringing, assist the Boys & Girls Club of Eastern Sussex County support the English/Spanish dictionary program and take part in many other charitable community activities.
