Rehoboth Art League posts new class schedules

The Rehoboth Art League has posted a calendar of art classes for 2013 on its website, www.rehobothartleague.org. The selection includes painting, papermaking, ceramics, glass bead making, drawing, watercolor, pastel, journaling and more.

Canvas and Corks has become a monthly favorite at the art league. Rosemary Connelly will be teaching Canvas and Corks from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17.

Attendees can bring a favorite adult refreshment and snacks if they like, and they will be guided step by step to paint a beautiful acrylic painting. No experience is necessary; this is a fun experience. Must be 21 or over to attend. Members pay $35, nonmembers $40. All supplies included. This class will be held on the third Thursday of each month throughout the year.

Sign up early for Nick Serratore’s Beginning Pastel class. This class will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursdays from Jan. 24 to Feb. 28. This class is geared to beginners. Students will be taught the fundamentals of the pastel medium. Members pay $160, nonmembers $195.

Summer camps for kids are scheduled, and registration is easy online at rehobothartleague.org. Private and semiprivate art instruction is also available in drawing, painting and pottery. There are classes available for all ages and levels from beginner to advanced.
