The Cape girls' basketball team lost at Caesar Rodney 51-40 Jan. 8, dropping to 1-7 on the season. Kadijah Doughty led Cape scorers with 17 points. Madison Smith, a ninth-grade transfer, had 8 points, while Emily Baptiste scored 7. The Riders were paced by Alexis Prillaman with 17 and Jazmine Lee with 16. Cape will next play Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Dover.
