Pennoni’s Daniel P. Barbato named to National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors’ committee

Pennoni Associates, an ENR Top 100 engineering, design and consulting firm with offices in Newark and Milton, has announced that Newark Municipal Division Manager Daniel P. Barbato, PE, was selected by the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors to serve on its national law enforcement committee.

The Committee on Law Enforcement consists of licensed engineers and surveyors from across the United States. The committee considers and recommends methods for state licensing boards to achieve effective and uniform enforcement of licensing acts and for greater interstate coordination of enforcement actions, including better utilization of available technologies.

The committee is also responsible for setting investigation and enforcement guidelines to assist state boards in investigative techniques, formal hearing procedures and settlements. Barbato is on the board of the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers; he also serves on the Executive Committee and is the chair of the External Affairs Committee.

Barbato’s primary area of expertise is water and wastewater engineering. His background includes more than 20 years of experience in the design, permitting, construction management, maintenance and operation of water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution systems, drainage systems, pumping stations, storage tanks, collection systems, production wells and wastewater disposal systems.
