Disney after 50 options to be discussed Jan. 19 at Ellen Rice Gallery

January 16, 2013

There are many opportunities and activities for those over 50 to enjoy at Walt Disney World and on the Disney Cruise Line, says Glass Slipper Concierge travel planner Duane Whitman, who will talk about Disney After 50 hourly between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Ellen Rice Gallery, 103 Atlantic Ave. in Ocean View.

Among Whitman’s favorite after-50 activities are meeting and talking with world-renowned Disney and Pixar celebrities. Shown are (l-r) Whitman; artist Ellen Rice, holding 'Toy Story 3' Director Lee Unkrich’s Best Animated Feature Oscar; and Unkrich aboard the Disney Cruise Line ship Magic.

Unkrich tried out a talk about the making of the blockbuster Pixar film just weeks after the Academy Awards presentation, illustrating it with animations, photographs and videos over two days and taking time to answer questions from the enthusiastic audience and pose for photographs. The talk was later taken to larger audiences in Hollywood. Whitman invites everyone to his free Disney travel presentation.
