Harley-Davidson of Seaford to host 2013 MDA Chili Cookoff Jan. 26

Ladies of Harley to collect for SPCA during cookoff
January 18, 2013

Last year, one bowl of chili at Harley-Davidson of Seaford helped spark nearly $1,000,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Ignite that spark again for 2013 at the MDA Chili Cookoff, set for Saturday, Jan. 26, at Harley-Davidson of Seaford.

All are welcome to come join the fun from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and with a $5 suggested donation, the public can help pick the winner. The $5 donation will earn each person a bowl, spoon and a pack of crackers to test as many as he or she wants.  It also, of course, means a ballot on which to vote for the winning chili.

The chili cookoff is part of a yearlong effort by Harley-Davidson of Seaford and its loyal customers leading to Ride For Life, an event of the Eastern Harley-Davidson Dealers Association that raised $947,986 for MDA in May 2012.

Those who think they have an award-winning chili should contact Ashley at Harley-Davidson of Seaford, 302-629-6161, by Wednesday, Jan. 23.

The Ladies of Harley will be collecting donations for four-legged friends during the MDA Chili Cookoff.

Donations will be given to the SPCA to help with the dogs and cats in its care. Recommended donations include clean blankets, towels, sheets, newspapers, cleaning products and, of course, food, snacks and toys for dogs and cats.
