Milton planning commission to meet

The Milton Planning & Zoning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Milton Public Library. A public hearing will be held on the preliminary site-plan review to build a one-story office building at 901 Palmer St. The property is zoned commercial. The commission may vote on the item following the public hearing.

A second public hearing will be held for the special-use application filed by Truitt Jefferson, who is planning to construct a parking lot at 201 Broadkill Road to be used as supplemental parking for an adjacent property. Pennoni to present to Milton Water Committee Jan. 16

Pennoni Associates will make a presentation to the Milton Water Committee at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Milton Public Library. The topic of the presentation will be the town's loan application to the Office of Drinking Water for improvements to its water system. For more information, call town hall at 302-684-4110.

Milton charter committee to meet

The Milton Charter & Ordinance Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Milton Public Library. There will be discussion and possibly votes on amendments to Section 2 of the town charter and ordinances that refer to fees. The group will also review chapters 26 and 67 of town code. Milton Personnel Committee to meet

The Milton Personnel Committee will meet at 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, at Milton Town Hall, located at 115 Federal St. The committee will discuss employee performance evaluations, employee handbook updates and amendments to Chapter 26 of town code. Cannery Village group to meet with officials

The Milton Cannery Village Ad Hoc Committee will meet at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Cannery Village Clubhouse. The group will be joined by representatives from Sussex County GIS Services and the 911 Addressing Office to discuss the signage problems within the community. Sec. Ed Kee to speak at CIB Jan. 17

The Center for the Inland Bays Citizens Advisory Committee will meet 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Center for the Inland Bays near the Indian River Inlet featuring Delaware Department of Agriculture Secretary Ed Kee.
