Mardi Gras celebration Feb. 16 will benefit Lake Forest educational projects

January 22, 2013

The Lake Forest Community Education Foundation invites the community to celebrate Mardi Gras from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16. All the festivities will be held in the Harrington Fire Hall, 20 Clark St., Harrington.  Music and dancing, fun and games, dinner and drinks, and silent and live auctions are all on tap for the evening.

The food will offer a taste of New Orleans paired with a selection of Delaware favorites. Area DJ G.R. Myers will provide music for listening and encourage celebrants to get on their feet and dance the night away. Dress is casual, but guests are invited to come masked and wearing their favorite Mardi Gras attire.

Tickets for Mardi Gras are $25 per person; they may be reserved in advance by calling Mary at 302-284-3230 or Linda at 302-398-5194.

LFCEF, a nonprofit group, will use proceeds from the evening to fund grants for innovative educational projects in the Lake Forest School District.
