Peninsula Commercial Alliance provides opportunities for Realtors

January 26, 2013

The Peninsula Commercial Alliance  was formed in 2012 to enhance opportunities as well as professional growth for Realtors who specialize in commercial real estate transactions on the Delmarva Peninsula. The PCA has been very active in recruiting partners from businesses in the area and promoting commercial growth.

John McClellan, secretary, reported the deal recently finalized with ILC that will bring 115 jobs to Seaford. McClellan, a Realtor with Sperry Van Ness Miller Commercial Real Estate in Salisbury, Md., was a founding member of the PCA and supports the many initiatives the alliance undertakes to inform, promote and support commercial development in the Delmarva area.

Since organizing, the PCA has brought in national speakers, hosted sales meetings and provided workshops on commercial lending as well as discussing public policy concerns. Past President Bill Vernon was instrumental in establishing a network to communicate with state and local economic development agencies, which has provided a vital link for businesses to come and grow in the area.

The PCA is a subsidiary corporation of Sussex County Association of Realtors in Georgetown. For more information, or to join the Peninsula Commercial Alliance, contact Angela Emerson at angela@scaor.com or call 302-855-2300.
