Chowdown for Charity set for Feb. 8 at Bethany Blues BBQ

The Next Generation - Southern Delaware will raise money for child mental health programs

The Next Generation - Southern Delaware will hold its inaugural fundraising event, Chowdown for Charity, from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, at Bethany Blues BBQ in Lewes. Sen. Tom Carper is expected to attend the event, which is raising money to support grants for programs providing child mental health services.

Guests will enjoy heavy BBQ hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, 50/50, door prizes and more. Tickets to the event are $40 per person, of which $10 will go directly to fund community grants awarded by TNG - Southern Delaware as a tax-deductible contribution. Seating is limited. Tickets are currently on sale at www.delcf.org/events.

TNG - Southern Delaware is a philanthropic organization of young professionals living and working in Kent and Sussex counties. The group identifies a focus area every two years and is currently directing grants to support programs that increase access to child mental health services and programs, including but not limited to victims of abuse, suicide prevention, anti-bullying efforts and combating teen dating violence.
